Laguna Niguel Real Estate and Community Information
| Back in the 1840's, the area
was known as Rancho Niguel. "Niguel" comes from the name of a
Native American village located in the area at the time the first
Spaniards arrived. In the 1890's, Rancho Niguel was purchased by
Louis Moulton. The city incorporated in 1989.
